Raised underfoot, loved from day one
Pineywoods Maine Coonery is a small, home-based cattery tucked into the pines of East Texas. We raise Maine Coons the slow way — in our living room, with our family, with intention.
How it started
It started with two cats — sisters from the same litter. Pippa and Kate arrived together, and they immediately rearranged our priorities. Curious, gentle, and impossibly affectionate — everything people say about Maine Coons, but more so. We were completely hooked.
Watching the two of them grow up together convinced us that these cats deserved to be shared — carefully, slowly, with families who would love them the same way. That's when Pineywoods Maine Coonery was born.
Every kitten we place is one we've held, talked to, and watched grow up in our home.

Slow, intentional, home-raised
We don't run a large operation. We raise one litter at a time, in our home, with our family present every day. Kittens are handled from birth, introduced to sounds and textures, and socialized with children and other animals before they ever leave us.
We believe the first twelve weeks shape a cat's personality for life. That's why we keep kittens until they're fully ready — not just weaned, but confident, curious, and calm.

Health, testing, and our guarantee
Maine Coons are a healthy breed, but responsible breeding means testing. Both Pippa and Kate are tested for HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy), SMA (spinal muscular atrophy), and PKD (polycystic kidney disease) before any breeding takes place. All results are available to prospective families on request.
Every kitten leaves with a veterinary health certificate, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a written health guarantee. We're available for questions long after your kitten goes home — we consider every family part of ours.
